]]>Born out of VRCG in 2011, Climb and Conquer Society Canada is a not-for-profit BC Society (S-0061426) run by climbers/volunteers. Our MISSION is to provide affordable access of climbing to children and youth (age 4-18) and their parents (with full subsidy for families in need) so they can use climbing to empower themselves physically, mentally and spiritually to overcome challenges and achieve big objectives. We run 3 programs and open to ALL youth age 4-18:
1. 3 Monthly Climbing Drop-ins (Vancouver, Richmond and Coquitlam) where climbers mentor youth (and their parents) to climb. Admissions range from $5-12. (Full subsidy for participants in financial needs or by referral). No prior climbing experiences nor gear needed.
2. Climbing scholarships. We subsidize passes, memberships, youth programs, camps, etc. Selection is based on first-come-first-served and evaluation by CNC Team. Access’ for all and not based on ability.
3. 1-1 Mentorship Program where we carefully match 1 climber with 1 youth and they climb indoor once a week at a flexible schedule (1 year period). Admissions differ depending on different climbing gyms; range from $10-20. (Full subsidy for families in need or by referral). No prior climbing experiences nor gear needed.
