The Caregivers Support Program offers two distinct service components: in-home support, consultation, education, and validation; and in-depth assessments and comprehensive behavioural plans for referred children in care.
Program Features
Our Focus:
- Assisting foster parents by clarifying expectations set out by the Ministry of Children and Family Development
- Educating foster parents about trauma, how it impacts children in care and their families, and assisting them in implementing strategies to work with these issues
- Helping foster parents understand the stages of development from childhood through to adolescence and how they can assist the children/youth in their care to successfully complete the developmental process
- Supporting foster parents in understanding the relationship process with foster children
Our Services:
The Caregivers Support Program offers in-home consultation, education and validation. This service is provided on a consistent, long-term basis.
Our staff will meet with you in the community or in your home at times that work for you.
