Overview

The Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents represents the needs of caregivers of Aboriginal children throughout all of BC.

The Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents represents caregivers and foster parents providing quality care for Aboriginal children in a nurturing, culturally appropriate environment

The Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents is committed to meeting the unique needs of caregivers of Aboriginal children and the needs of the communities for training, recruitment and support of these caregivers

The Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents recognizes and affirms that Aboriginal children have the right to grow up within their own communities and cultures.

Goals

Recruit, support and assist in retaining Aboriginal Foster Parents
Build relationships, agreements with related agencies or entities
To provide a voice for all caregivers of Aboriginal children in BC
To work with Aboriginal Delegated Agencies and the Ministry of Child and Family Development to achieve the goal of Aboriginal children in care to be provided equal access to services
