The Welcome Wagon is a support service provided to new foster parents and caregivers. It provides an opportunity for a support worker to visit you at your home and share information about the fostering community with you. A support worker will bring a basket full of relevant literature on programs and opportunities in your community (as well as a few treats!). It is an excellent way to gain an understanding of the larger fostering community within the Vancouver Coastal Region and how you can become more involved. We will outline all of the services available to you and your family, including support, networking groups and more. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet a support worker face to face and begin to develop this important relationship.
